Why Southern Black Labs? 

When Toby and Lucy had their first litter - ALL of the puppies were black. We were confused because Lucy the Dam (mother) is chocolate and Toby the Sire (Father) is yellow.

How could this be that all of their puppies are black?

We learned about the genetics of a chocolate and yellow lab parent and the 6 possible outcomes.

So now we know that Lucy is EEbb and Toby is eeBB as shown in the chart below.
